Let’s be honest there are many times when you want to say f*ck this sh*t and just quit your job. When you find yourself dreading going to work, lacking motivation to get work assignments done it becomes very hard to perform your work duties effectively. I first hand have dealt with work stress. Things had got so bad that my heart would sink whenever I’d get an email from my superiors. For months I felt like I was drowning and no matter what I did things kept getting worse and worse. I took the necessary precautions on how to deal with stress to make sure I was good and one day I will share that with you all. Until then, here’s three tips for stress management:
1) Meditation & Uplifting Music- The song Close to You (HXLY KXSS Remix) [feat. Eris Ford, IMRSQD & HXLY KXSS] x Chris Howland literally changed my life. There’s a lyric that reads “I give you [God] my anxiety and all the worry that’s inside of me.” Hearing that line was like a breath of fresh air for me. Give your problems to God and trust that He has a great plan in store for you!
2) Taking CBD oil- Visit @endo_tx on Instagram for more information.
3) Use your PTO to refresh- Use it or lose it, many full-time jobs offer PTO that you have to use by a certain time period. Take advantage of those benefits. Lastly, if you don’t have a full-time job you can take off a few days from your part-time gig… they’ll be okay.
I’m a firm believer that people have to take care of themselves both mentally, spiritually and physically because if you lose your mind and can’t do your job you’ll be replaced! Your job position will always be there, but your mental health will not. I always tell people to practice self-care because at the end of the day all you have is yourself.
It’s a six letter word that brings an array of emotions that make our everyday lives a little bit harder. The three main stress contributors include, work and school, relationships and self-generated stress.
