There are so many incredible women in the DFW Fitness community. Whether you’re a personal trainer, fitness model or fitness coach there are so many realms of fitness & wellness to be involved in. This week we’d like to highlight Fitness Coach, Dee Byrd. She’s a University of Houston aluma, currently residing in Dallas, Texas. You can follow her on Instagram for fitness inspo and motivation. We asked her about her experience as a DFW fitness coach.
1. Describe what a fitness coach is.
A fitness coach is a personal trainer who helps clients set and reach their health and fitness goals. Coaches create, plan or lead workout sessions for clients and act as accountability partners.
2. Does being a fitness coach influence you to make better choices when it comes to exercise & diet?
Being a fitness coach definitely influences me to make better coaches as far as nutrition and fitness goals. Now no one is perfect, but I do believe that we as trainers have a bit of responsibility to demonstrate to our clients the right way to do things.
3. What does being fit mean to you?
Being fit to me means being physically able and heart-healthy. This can describe something different for everyone. I think the word is pretty relative, but for most, it just means regularly engaging in fitness.
4. How can you make the world a better place?
I hope to make the world a better place by inspiring others to truly believe in themselves and to consistently work hard to follow their dreams. I believe there’s so much power in consistency, hard-work and building yourself up.
